Zi caffè is an Italian family business company located in Sicily (Marsala) that produces and distributes in Italy and abroad high quality blends for coffee shops, ground coffees for moka pot and brewing and a wide range of single serving coffees. The company was born in 1929 when, Vito Zichittella, a coffee lover and connoisseur, opened a small coffee roasting shop in Marsala, Western Sicily. In 1949, with the entry of the sons, the Vito Zichittella & C. was established. The business was so successful – and the coffee so flavorsome and frothy – that he soon started selling in all Western Sicily, under the name of Zicaffe’. Legend has it that he possessed a trade secret to make his blends unique in taste and aroma.
For more than 80 years, four generations of the Zichittella family have carried on and expanded the business with the same passion ignited in the founder Vito.
Nowadays in 7.500 square metres plant, located on a 50.000 square metres premises, the company roasts several coffee blends that are unique in taste, aroma and froth. The pursuit of production excellence is performed through latest technologies which are also environment friendly.
One and a half million kilos of coffee and a turnover of more than ten million euros are numerical expressions of the success of Zicaffè which today with its products is present, in addition to the whole of the South, also throughout Europe, Canada, USA , Australia, China, South Korea, South Africa and Morocco.
